Recently, Dr. Yi Yueneng, Chairman of MedGence, was awarded the honorary certificate of "2023 Hunan Province Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Leading Talents (Top) Support Program" by the Hunan Provincial Department of Science and Technology, as evaluated by the Hunan Provincial Department of Science and Technology.
The Support Program for Leading Talents in Science and Technology (referred to as "top-notch" talents) aims to provide key training and support for academic and technological leaders in key advantageous fields of Hunan Province or those who can fill the gaps in the development of the province, undertake the key core technologies and original and leading technological research, solve the "tricky" problems, and work in the scientific research and development of the province. The academic and technological leaders who are dedicated to research on the front line will be supported by key cultivation. The program is divided into two categories: scientific and technological innovation leaders and scientific and technological entrepreneurship leaders. In order to do a good job in cultivating candidates recommended by the National Talent Program, the provincial scientific and technological leaders are prioritized as the recommended candidates for the National Innovation Talent Program.
The project is supported by a series of procedures such as individual application, democratic recommendation, on-site inspection, evaluation and validation, and finally reported to the Hunan Provincial Science and Technology Department for finalization.
Biographical Note of Dr. Yi
Yi Yueneng is the founder, chairman and general manager of MedGence Technical Co., Ltd., Ph. D of Xiangya School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Central South University, Postdoctoral fellow of Fudan University; Doctoral supervisor of School of Basic Medical Sciences, Central South University, executive director of the Professional Committee of Pharmacy of World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, executive director of Hunan Pharmaceutical Industry Association, executive director of Hunan Pharmaceutical Association, Chairman of Hospital Preparation and Real World Evaluation Professional Committee, Hunan Pharmaceutical Industry, executive director of China Association of Chinese Medicine - Prescription Dose and Effect Research Branch, Special Lecturer at National Medical Products Administration Institute of Executive Development, executive secretary general of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Researchers, 2023 Most Influential Women of the Future in Medicine. Her main research interests are development of new Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Classic TCM, development of natural medicine, research on active ingredients and application of quality control system on Minority National Medicine. She is specialized in redevelopment of best selling Chinese Traditional Patent Medicine, innovation and development of Minority National Medicine.
She has presided over nearly 20 national, provincial and municipal projects such as: a sub-project of the National Basic Research Program of China (973 Program - 2009CB523002), and a project from the “Significant New Drugs Development” of Ministry of Science and Technology during the 12th Five-year Plan Period (2011ZX09201-201-08), a project funded by China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, etc.; she has presiding over the work obtaining 16 drug registration approvals and has five-year’s experience on hospital preparation development and production with total sales volume at 20 billion CNY and employment of more than 10,000 people in the upstream and downstream industrial chain, relieving the pain of 300 million chronic disease patients; she has applied for more than 20 invention patents and has been granted 15 invention patents and published nearly 30 papers, with 10 included in SCI; She is one of the editorial board members of the 14th Five-Year Plan textbook "Yao Medicine".
